Saturdays Devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary

Our parish is participating in
the First Saturdays Devotion in union
with Archbishop Sample and parishes throughout the Archdiocese of Portland.
This devotion originated from the Church-approved apparitions at Fatima, where
Our Blessed Mother requested what is now known as the First Saturday Devotion.
On the first Saturday of the month the Faithful are asked to Go to Confession,
Receive Holy Communion, Pray the Rosary, and Meditate for 15 minutes on a
mystery of the Rosary. All of these actions should be offered for the intention
of making reparation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The Blessed Mother
promised that for those who do this on the first Saturday of five consecutive
months, she will assist them at the hour of death with all the graces necessary
for salvation.
There is a special Mass
at 9:00 AM scheduled on the following Saturdays: October
4 and November 1. Please
